Soybean Wax vs. Paraffin |
Paraffin is most common and least expensive wax used in more than 95% of the candle making today. Paraffin is the leftover by-product from the petroleum refining process. This petroleum by-product can release the same harmful carcinogens into the atmosphere as your car produces when gasoline is burned. Candles made from our Soy based vegetable wax produce No petrol-carbon soot and can burn up to twice as long as a candle made from paraffin. Soy Candles burn at a lower temperature to enable the use of 100% cotton or 100% paper wicks rather than the lead core wicks traditionally used in paraffin candles.
